Onan end bearing regreasing

At the Spring 2023 Hattiesburg Rally during Jim Bounds Onan seminar Bob Stone brought up how to regrease the Onan's end bearing. We did it and it's not a hard job. We had a used Onan bearing on the bench and popped the seal out and back in to see how it went. Used a seal pick on the outside rim of the seal and bearing race and it came out pretty easy and popped back in. If you bend the seal bend it back flat and it will be good.
We slid the Onan all the way out and this is what you can see with a big light in the Onan compartment
Next we wiped off the bearing and popped the seal out
We used this grease by putting a couple finger loads in the bearing, popped the seal back in and ran it for twenty minutes. The extra grease the bearing didn't want came out.
Wiped off the extra grease and hopefuly it will be good for a few more decades.

New seats for the GMC

Seats for the GMC, we modified them to fit on the swivel bases. These are semi truck seats with air lumbar supports and a multitude of adjustments
We went to Four State Trucks in Joplin Mo to choose what we wanted. The picture is just some of the seats they have, all hooked up to air so you can feel what they are like.
We chose Atlas II deluxe seats made by Sears Seating, It took 18 weeks to get them.
I took the air ride bases off in order to use the GMC's swivel bases. We used the new seats slide arrangement.
We welded 1/2x2 flat bar with tapped holes to match the GMC bases to the new seats
We extended the swivel levers with some stainless tubes over the round GMC levers.

Long pilot oring adapter fitting for Hydromax

The Hydromax takes a "long pilot oring" connection for the hydraulic input. I could only find short pilot fittings for hydraulics. Any long pilot fittings found were for refrigeration service. I didn't want to try and buy a OEM hose and adapt it to the hydraulic pump I already had. I set out to make an adapter fitting to get to a common oring boss connection and go from there.
Started with 1.25" 12l14 hex stock and made the oring boss
Measuring threads using three wire method, first time for me with this.
Adapter assembled on Hydromax. Long pilot oring to female oring boss to a 90 degree JIC flare.

Hydromax rod does come out and a few styles are available or make what you want. New grommets are available.

Hydromax is different than Hydroboost in that the hydraulic flow path can have no restriction on the outlet, not a power beyond deal. Need a separate engine driven pump on the GMC or some kind of dual section pump. Relatively huge volume from the large master should satisfy all disk brakes with big pressure. Backup electric pump on primary flow failure.
