Running north to get away from snow

Last weekend we ran up to the north shore of lake Superior. Omaha forecast was for 4 to 6 inches of snow and school was already announced closed. The weather map showed that we could avoid the snowstorm if we got past about 40 miles north of Des Moines by noon. We went in the Yaris. The pics are Two Harbors MN and hwy 61. Minimal snow on the roads but a lot on our driveway waiting for us when we got back home.

Messing with raw image files and Gimp editor

Took this with Olympus in TIFF format then run through Gimp editor. The "raw" file out of the camera was 9MB. Click on the image to enlarge it. I've been seeing more and more of these type of edited images on the web. Check out http://doingmyway.blogspot.com/ for more of this type of imagery.

Updated upholstery in place

Finally we bolted the dinette seats back in place.
